it is a story of five average college going youths who happen to act in a documentary shoot of a british woman.
she happens to portray the lives of bhagat singh , chandrashekhar azad and three others , goes in search for suitable actors. only to find them in her friend(soha ali khan) and her acccomplices.
madhavan plays a patriotic air force officer , who succumbs in an air crash . this event transforms the lives of the easy going youngsters who take the cause in their stride, thus reigniting the spirit of the rebellious youth who believe in change. they decide to assasinate the defense minister who was involved in the scandal.
rest of the plot is on how they decide to bring about a change they seek.
