Guru movie review
loosely based on the life of polyester tycoon dhirubhai ambani. the story follows the life of gurukanth desai a small town boy who dreams of making it big in business. the movie begins at his village in idhar , where his dad fires him for flunking in his exams. when he tells his dad that he already has a job proposal in turkey. he is to work as a petrol bunk attendant.
he convinces his dad to let him go , join his relative ghanshyam das.
he begins to grow , from a petrol bunk boy to a sales representative in a refinery . he learns he tricks of the oil trade. he then sails off to his village where he dreams of starting a business. his father tells him that dreams don't come true. unaffected, having his own way h is determined to settle in mumbai to start a business by selling polyester yarn.
he comes across contractor a parsi tycoon and manik das gupta, his mentor who later goes against him .
the plot follows his success story , how he eventually wins , sets up a refinery of his own .
