Cast Away movie review
the film revolves around chuck noland a fedex systems expert who travels overseas to resolve problems in fedex depos across the globe.
being time obsessed and carrier conscious he has no time to spare for the family.
he is however in a long term relationship with kelly frears with whom he lives in tennesse memphis.
chuck and kelly are to have their relationship at stake owing to chuck's busy schedule. he apparently has to put his Christmas at stake when he is ordered to travel overseas for a consignment related to fedex.
he is traveling on his mcdonnelll douglass md 11, which apparently fails and crashes into the bay beneath , he however lands onto his safety raft , that sails him across to an island he realizes is uninhabited. over time he becomes an expert on hunting food and cooking them.
he also begins to search further food and fedex packages for his survival.
he learns to light a wood fire with all that is around him. but in his first attempt he deeply injures his hand. he then throws his belongings into water .in a fit of rage one of the goods includes a wilson goods volleyball one of his fedex packages.
he eventually forms deep psychological contact with wilson and begins to talk to it as if its a person.
chuck having developed a flair for spearing fishes and cooking food. has an infected tooth which he removes with a blade.
the rest of the plot is on chucks escape from the island and his reunion with the life he had left behind .
he realizes that he had been cast away, how he deals with the situation he was under is the other part of the story.
a tragedy cum adventure thriller,tom hanks at his best.
