Rambo movie review
slightly different from the largely cold war-time based rambo series. this depicts the humanitarian effort to help the tribespeople of burma, who are under the oppressive rule of general than shwe.
rambo is on the thailand border with burma, nestles in a thailand village, he seeks out a living by capturing snakes and selling them . he also transports roamers , travellers on his boat .
he encounters sarah miller , who confronts him to help her in the cause of the ongoing burmese movement .
he is reluctant initially but finally agrees to do so.
he gathers the tribesmen travels up the salween river to burma from thailand. this is where john rambo , finds sarah being taken hostage by pirates , in return for something he can't compromise on .
he decides to kill all the pirates, saving the missionaries , but disturbing them greatly . but the karen tribespeople, lend their support without doubt. how rambo wins over the brutal army men of than shwe forms the crux of the story . standing different from all the other rambo movies this one makes a different appeal all together.
